The development involves careful restoration and modernisation of Cherrywood House, a legally protected historic building. Twentieth-century flat-roofed extensions to the north will be demolished, and the main house will be upgraded internally with new services, improved insulation, and period-appropriate finishes.

Cherrywood House is a protected structure. Works include removal of concrete floors and replacement with limecrete (a breathable, lime-based alternative), installation of breathable insulation to walls, window restoration, roof repairs to outbuildings, and removal of non-original twentieth-century extensions to restore the building's historic character.

Landscape works and associated grounds improvements are proposed as part of the restoration.
