Demolition of the existing one no.4 bedroom detached dormer dwelling and outbuildings at The Glen, Glenamuck Road, Carrickmines, Dublin 18; and the construction of 49 no. apartment units within 1 no. five, part five and a half storey split level apartment block over single basement comprising of 5 no. 1-bed units of 46sqm; 40 no. 2-bed units ranging from 65sqm to 79sqm; and 4 no. 3-bed units of 99sqm. The block also contains balconies/terraces serving each individual unit on all the elevations. Vehicular access to the development will be served off a newly created access road off Glenamuck Road, via the neighbouring proposed development. (Reg. Ref. D06A/1266, condition 16). The existing access point will be closed. A new separate pedestrian and emergency vehicle access to the site will be created off the Glenamuck Road to serve the development. The development will be served by 61 car parking spaces and 50 cycle parking spaces within a single 1,843sqm basement car park under block A. The basement car park will be accessed off a new ramp via a new internal road layout. Permission is also sought for all site development works including infrastructure to service the development, including internal roads; drainage; water supply; utilities; landscaping works; fencing and boundary treatment; security hut; road lighting; and signage; all on a site of some 0.485 hectares.
