Permission sought for extension and modifications to previously approved four storey mixed use facilities building (Block C) (Reg. Ref. D06A/0268) at main location. The proposed extension comprises moving the north elevation forward 1.9m (approx) to the line of back of existing footpath, providing a 43sqm increase in gross floor area on all four floor levels; total gross floor area of proposed extension to be 173sqm; total gross floor area of extended Block C to be 5974sqm. The modifications include A) revised layout of stair core 1; B) omission of the class 2 retail unit and retail unit 4; C) the addition of an ESB sub-station and switch room all on ground floor; D) revised pool layout and provision of double height swimming pool on first and second floors; E) consequent reduction in second floor gym area of 312sqm to facilitate double height swimming pool hall; F) basement carpark layout revised to allow for 87no. car spaces.
